Just wondering what u guys pay for a single tire in the states? I have 17x9 cobra r rims, and i need new rear tires BAD! i have 245/45/17 BFG's on it now, but i'd like to get a little wider tire if possible. what size can i fit if i flip my quads?
started checking around locally today, and i can't find ANYTHING for less than $300/tire, and it goes over $500 for anything high performance. is this normal? no more spinnin for me if thats the case! S***!
for example:
245/45ZR17 95Y BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KD $315
255/40ZR17 94Y Michelin Pilot Sport Cup $420
P245/45ZR17 89Y Goodyear Eagle F1 GS $439
245/45ZR17 95Y Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar $504

find some friends, my buddy had two kuhmo 275/40/17's sitting in his garage. My front tires were so bald they were goin flat, he gave me both for 35 bucks, and got charged 38 to swap em out.

BFG G Sport best tire for the money. 275/40's are 130 I think. 255/40's are 116 and they grip awesome. I HIGHLY recommend these tires. Buy tires off of Tirerack.com. Its a good deal there.

thanks! i'll start checking out some US internet sites, but i live in canada so i have to pay a lot for shipping, brokerage, customs, taxes etc... but if i can get 2 tires for $200-300, even with the extras charges, it'd still be much better than buying locally for $700-1000 for some mediocre stuff! am i the only one who thinks thats crazy!???

Exchange rate isnt bad... its up around 89 cents to the dollar right now, so $116 becomes $131, although you can expect to tack on at least 30% to that due to conversion charges etc. And then add shipping...

Do you have any places that sell used tires? Used tires are the best deal man. I got 2 255/40/17 Continentals with like 90% tread on them and 2 275/40/17 Goodyear Eagle F1s with like 30% tread left... $50/tire taxes included, and installed. All Canadian $$ :D
