What do you all think of the K&N FIPK?

hey all.... I am looking into something for the intake side of my Mustang's breathing problem, and I am wondering what kind of options are out there as far as CAI/Injection kits go. I'm pretty much capable of bolt-on work like the FIPK. I"m not really looking to get huge power gains or anything because obviously, it won't do that. What I am looking for is to just free up the rev range a bit and let the 2v breathe as good as it possibly can without tearing into the motor.

Thanks for any and all input!

Demolet? Never heard of that....

Yeah I know all about the dangerous of f'in with the MAF, I worked in the car industry in auto parts for 5 years putting myself through college 'til I joined the Army, so I know all about the dangers of MAF messin'. Notwithstanding the fact that I am in California to boot...

i like mine

didn't add any noticeable power and if i could do it again i would've dropped the $200 on a pro50 or some 4.10's but i didn't know any better

if you're dead set on buying an air intake the fipk is one of the best

I've got a short-throw (Steeda TriAx) just waiting to be installed, its a matter of when.... SO I've got that, and the FIPK. Gears are definitely a go in the next 6 months, I'm just worried about this damn GT turning into as big a gas hog as my 68 is.

The FIPK works, but it REALLY works on power adder cars. Namely, from what I've read, 03-04 Cobras. Something like 30rwhp for a few 100$. :nice:
two totally different engines, two different intakes

an xpipe on a cobra will add twice (if not more) the hp than a gt, same goes for pretty much any bolt-on

a mostly stock gt will add maybe 5-6hp if you had a dirty filter to begin with

Ya think. Duh not $hit Sherlock. I was simply stating that on a Power adder car you will get more out of one than on a N/A car. Boy people are getting touchy and awfuly fast with their fingers around here. :notnice:
