click the other picture that has the hood on a 99 body style..thats the hood i just got for a $100, which i feel isnt bad considering its carbon fiber. im not so sure on the design but i think after its painted to match that it would like alright...what ya think guys??

There's some dude on eBay who's been trying to sell his (exact same style but painted black,) for like 3 months. Nobody wants it apparently.. might want to look in to buying his. Just search for cobra hood.

It's a nice looking hood.....although from what I have heard, people who own the "heat extractor" style hood like that are always bitching about it completely soaking their engine compartments when it rains. Something you might want to consider before laying down the cabbage on one.

Looks good, but like Brian said, make sure you check out how much moisture it's going to let in during storms or the common wash.

A well painted CF is no different from any other hood other than it is lighter, however a paint job with the weave showing through for no purpose otehr than to show off the weave isn't al that nice.

Thanksfor the input everyone, and sorry about posting in tech. my mistake....btw that second link isnt the hood i baught but the exact one...i picked it up localy for $100 because one of thehinge bolts pulled out of the hood, so 40cents and 10 minutes later with some permapoxy, its stronger than oem and ready to bolt on, as for the finish the carbon fiber looks sweet but will be paitned to match my car ASAP, the heat extractors are actually right over the gap between the radiator and fron of engine so if i wash the car it drips right to the pavement, howver i maybe making some type of drip tray to divert the water to the side....but for $100 for the hood and $150 for a genuine saleen S281 wing and LED brake light, i feel i got a nice deal considering i was gonna spend almost $500 on a fiberglass cowl hood....
