What Do You Carry And Why?

Not everyone goes around unarmed (this dude for one). So, to get a feel for what all we like, carry, and maybe even to give someone around here an idea of what options they have if they want to start carrying a weapon.
WHAT DO YOU CARRY AND WHY??

Ill go first: Open carry is legal here, so during daylight, ill openly carry a KaBar, or on a rare occasion, one of my other knives. After 6 at work, ill carry a Ruger blackhawk or have it close by. Had a scare at my drive through and decided that a close up with a psycho could be hazardous to my health.

Ok, the rest is up to you guys. What do you carry, prefer, and why? (pics are welcome if you want)

Never Jams, never runs out of amo, never needs sharpening and doesn't require a permit....


....and you can even change your tire with it.

Noobz, i do carry a handgun at work, OPENLY/Legally however, at night. And dont worry Mother, the police inspector here is ok with it. Nights get a little scary around there, especially after the business on the other side of the wall got broken into. Before the BS and politics of the Air Force got me, i carried a rifle for 'the good of the country'. I hope the fact that i do exercise my right doesnt bother anyone?

So long as you are legal I'm good.

Unless something has changed, it's still 21 to own a handgun. What you got going in the military is not the same thing. We fall under a different set of circumstances but only when under written orders to do so.

21 to buy actually here. but any firearm can be given as a gift my a private party, legally. at least in colorado, other states im sure is the same. At least the non liberal states.

I carry a Benchmade knife and a Glock 30 pretty much everywhere. Glock because I've been running them for 17 years with no failures and 30 because I like the stopping power of a +P .45 round.

Legal here. I pick and choose for the clothing I'm wearing for the day. Taurus 24/7 Pro DS .45, Ruger .380 LCP w/ Crimson Trace, & Smith&Wesson .38 +P. Rather carry it then to be caught without it.

I keep a Ruger LCR with me when out and about. I personally prefer to carry a revolver over a semi auto.

Not legal to carry here without a permit ,but i am thinking i will get it .
a few friends already have ,but i keep my 22 Ruger within reach when i am working in my shop .I also keep a couple of clips close by.
