what do you guys have? opinions on paint.

well i will be paint my car pretty soon and my dad says i need to get a idea on what i would like so what do you guys think?i really like the two tone red and black coupe that somebody has on this forum and i think something like that would be cool with the reed on black on bottom then red on top? with silver pin strip to separate them? what do you guys think? any other color combs that i should give a chance?

first time choosing a color and there so many other there that i could do i just don't know what one lol


this will be my car i drive to high school for a a good time till I'm 18 or so and
can get a 5.0 so i want this car to scream bad ass in the looks department.

post some pictures up of your guys car that you have painted your car with. looking for some ideas if you guys have the time


ALSO dose anyone know where i can get a 2 or 3 inch cowl hood for a 83 mustang like mine all i can find is for 87-93

Check out my website for pictures of my paint. Someone else on here just painted his car the same colour as mine. If you want blue...I think it looks good.

I like blue, grey, black, and twotone of some sorts for mustangs. Go with one of those and you'll be straight.

thats what I would like to do a blue. but i want to do something a little different on it. like a two tone oh blakc and red or black and silver or bluw and silver.

or i could do what i wanted to in the first place and do the blue od 87ttopstangs car and do some silver strips on the hood and the trunk a a mustang logo in them thne on the wing paint the leters M U S T A N G in it like the older mustang has on them. what do you all think?

I like paint. It makes things pretty. It is also good for decorating peoples houses with my neighborhood team logo. Some people like to huff it but I prefer to let it dry and eat it. I like paint. Thank you.

on problem on the body there is a lil i mean very little dent on the side of the car where a door or something hit it maybe hail but just on then on the hood there are a couple ripples from where idk. maybe i hit someone or a bird.

um i can be without the car for how ever long it takes since I'm 14 and don't drive yet

my budget is whatever i want to spend and all the work will be done by me and by dad and his friends john and Todd. Todd has a 88 mustang with a 5.0 that is wicked fast but the hood keeps like shirking from the heat and ****. its fiberglass. anyone know why?

i don't want to spend any more then 400 on a hood becasuse i would alike a 2 or 3 inch cowl on it and no more then 500-600 on paint since i need to a new top cant wait to try to put it on

anyone know the easiest way to get one on?

no its a 3.8L V6 i bought a 302 block last week for 25 bucks from the nab-or and im going to have it bored some to either a 306 or a 347 stroker and then start the 5.0 build for it and a the t5 trans
came with 112 hp from the factory i believe and this one only has 51,766 miles on the or.g engine no rebuild yet but we did find out thanks to a guy on the forum that are mustang has about 195,000 mile sin it but it still runs like a top

there are no longer hubcaps on it here's the new wheels i like um a lot

mods are in the process 347 stroker build up to swap in the stang to get rid of its v6

500-600 on paint sounds alittle tight.....it sounds like your just looking for a maaco job because you arent gonna get it sanded down, prepped, and painted for $600 im pretty sure

no, like i said we paint it ourselves. Paint I'm figuring on 400 at the minimum for the blue we still have a lot of silver left over so i may use that. we still have a lot of primer left over from when my dad and Todd painted there mustangs along with about a gallon of clear left

so all I'm paying for is the paint and and maybe some sand paper if they don't have anymore of it left. we have the paint guns ect ect that we need. and my dad said if i DO go over my budget on paint he will help me out. sorry for the grammar i was at school. no spell check lol

and i think the only bondo i will need on this car is over the right rear wheel. a little dent but not really big at all. and the hood if i don't find a hood i like in time.
