Hmm who to trust, a bunch of guys with newer SUVs or people with 100,000+ miles on their Mustangs running K&Ns??? Some people will look for ANYTHING to piss and moan about, and with the internet these days, we get the pleasure of having to see, hear, and read it.

Better than stock. How do you oil it anyway? Does it come in some kind of spray bottle? Anyone has a picture and part #?

K&N filter oil comes in a spray can,but when the filter needs cleaning you need to buy K&N filter cleaner to clean it right. The cleaner comes in a pump bottle.

Very nice link. That is why I said, I'd never use one if I lived on a dirt road or where it was extremely dusty all of the time.

I had maf problems in my GMC Sonoma because I reoiled too much- it's hard to know what constitutes as too much. I'd personally by a new one ever 50k or so.

either way, hoodstrype the oil is what actually filters out the air entering the engine, without it not only will it not filter correctly, but you'll have a nasty white filter underyour bay lol.

excessive oiling is where people screw up and end up building up gunk on their maf's. just lightly coat the whole thing and you'll be good

That link was on the likns I posted before. I bet that was a GM guy that made those graphs I doubt that filter was that good in all the tests.

The filter stopped the most dirt, but did not flow the best. All I know is I have never seen or heard of an issue with anyone running a K&N that it allowed too much dirt in and caused an issue. His tests show the K&N flows the best, and for me, someone looking for the most power, thats what I want...

PS: I dont even have a K&N filter!

I have one but I dont drive mine off the paved roads and I dont take the car out untill they clean the streets after the winter so I should be fine with the K&N
