Agreed but the speed ratings are thrown out the door within the first 500 miles of wear and how often do you drive down the road at 130 anyway.

hancook is a division of Canada tire

Uh, really? Hankook Website So, unless Hankook Tire Co. LTD which is based in Korea is a subsidiary of Canada tire, I'm betting that's not correct. :chair:

bull8t: As to the tires themselves, I bought 4 new Z rated Hankooks for about $105/tire. That's not much more than what you're looking at for HR. They're fine for daily driving.

what year and model stang you have? if you have a gt more then likely it calls for a ZR rated tire (which is the speed rating) and those are rated HR'S and shouldn't be put on your car just to let you know
whoops sorry, I drive a 02 gt. I am also looking at Kumhos 712's. Pretty much narrowed down to either the Hankooks or the Kumhos.

You will be fine with those tires. I ran the same ones when I had 17's and they lasted a long time here in Florida which is saying a lot. They also hold tremendously in wet weather. I just wish I could find a deal like that on some 18's.....
