What about a poll asking who likes it when people post in nonstandard, incredibly hard to read font styles?

Now before I begin, I want to clarify this isn't an attack directly to you gmkillr LOL

But your comment got me thinking, it really did.
and this is what i asked myself (i'll put it in caps to stress the question):

"WHAT IS A MUSTANG GUY?"

What the **** IS a mustang guy? Is a mustang guy someone who tunes their stang, and is less interested in appearance? Is it a guy who ONLY buys a gt? NEVER a v6 mustang. And I start questioning myself... and i dunno, what the hell, seriously, what is a 'mustang guy'?

because i doubt, very highly that i would fall under that category. and i'll be totally honest, i'm a hypocrite... I make fun of those who do things differently than me... "ricer tails" for example... but then again there are things I could see myself doing "tastefully"... said in a loose term.

I think everyone who owns a mustang, unfortunately, is a mustang guy. No way you cut it... they bought the car, they ultimately have something in common with you, and her, and him, and your uncle who bought one when he was younger.

So I dunno, I see a lot of crap out there, and a lot of things I wouldn't do, even in comparison to rims! I see it all the time, and catch myself saying "oh, i would never put those rims on my car in a million years"
or:
"you wouldn't catch me dead puting ANY kind of sticker on my car, EVER"
or:
"neon lights under my car! ARE YOU MAD?"

I dunno, honestly I think now, it all just boils down to taste.
So instead of them being a true "stanger"... and like i said, i catch myself saying it all the time, and i'll probably never change. How can you define it?
what is a stanger?

i guarantee if you draw up a definition, I'm not one of them.

In my opinion a mustang guy is someone who will own a mustang of some sort for the rest of their lives. Its not just another car to them, its a mustang!!
I consider myself a mustang guy, I love all year mustangs but mainly the newer ones. Ive owned a mustang since I was 17, im now 27 gonna be 28 in 2 months and Ive owned 4 mustangs, and i'll always own a mustang for the rest of my life reguardless if its the one I have now or another. There is no other car too me, Mustang is the car. I like other cars and have owned other cars and will continue to own other cars but when it all boils down i'll always have a mustang.

And your "not a mustang guy" is bull**** because I am a mustang guy. Just because I choose to be different on some things don't make me any different then anybody else on the damn forum

and that's definitely respectable. I would classify you as a worthy stanger by every means.
I'm on my 2nd mustang right now, and now, we'll see what ford brings us in 2010-2011 when their next line comes out to see if my next car is a stang.
but if that's your definition then i think you're right on the money.

then my next question is, is it possible to put on ricer tails, glowing neons and lambo doors on a stang and still be considered a stanger if they still follow under your definition?

hahah! i was SO waiting for your hostility to hit.

although i always find it comical, you know you can have a sincere conversation without getting defensive... ask questions man, ask on why their opinions are such a way, and then you know where the comments come from.

& don't take it personal dude. i don't think people made their remarks with you specifically in mind.
"i hate neons cuz jinx has them on his car!"

well... hm, maybe they did
hehehe
just teasing.

i agree with that deff. i also consider myself as a corvette guy and not a mustang guy.

i will own a 2003 electron blue ZO6

imo neons are gay. just my opinion. if you like them--fine, but you do need to understand that folks are gonna give you hell about them. this is just the internet and they are just opinions so do what you want.
