What do you have your timing adjuster set at? I set it to 14* but I probably could go higher with 94 octane available in my area. I haven't had the chance to play with it yet.

I know each car is different but I would just like to hear what others are using.

Have mine at 15* running 93 octane. Runs strong, with a marked improvement in bottom end.

My KB chip sets the timing to 23* when the ECT is at ambient temperature, that is, just for a while once I start up the engine. As the ECT goes higher, the chip lowers the timing to around 17* or 16* to protect the engine from detonation. If I flip the chip to the shootout mode, then the chip will fix the timing at 23* regardless of the ECT. But for that, I must run high octane gasoline to avoid detonation. The higher octane I can get at the pump in the Island is 93. I can get 100+ octane gas at the local racing shop for about $8/gallon.

Is getting a Timing adjuster like steeda orbbk worth it?
Will the money spent get any good horsepower?
What would be better a K&N Cold air kit or a Timing adjuster?
Sorry I know this should be a new thread .

i have mine set at 16* but i think i am going to knock it back to 15*. the timing adjuster is a good mod along with the pullies. however you can get a chip and it will adjust the timing for you as well as other things.

I have mine set at 13. Everytime I go to 14 I get a cel. That's on 93 also. I've tried several different brands and still get a cel at 14.

Timing Adjuster would be more worth while. Plus, a K&N FIPK is more expensive. A T/A will get you better gains.
