sup guys...im gonna head to the track either next week or the following one...the track is a 1/8...what do you guys think i SHOULD run with the mods i have? nice cold weather and a sticky track
Are you going to be running at Irwindale? If so, you should get a decent 60ft. I think you will run somewhere between a mid 10 to a high 9 at around 73-77mph.
yeah im heading to irwindale....wow mid 10 - high 9's huh?? damn! i ran a 9.9 with my old bone stock 98gt auto there before, which was a total dog!!! my buddy ran a 9.5 with a stock 98 gt 5 speed....im not that bad of a driver guys
Sorry that I insulted you but I'm just guessing off cars I've seen run at LACR. I only ran my car once when it had the exhaust, K&N and 4.10's and I ran 13.54 at 101.5 in 1/4. The next time I took it to the track was when I had everything it has now and I run low 12's. My 1/8's are in the mid 7's. Running your 98 is going to be alot different than your 95. You have more torgue then you did before so be carefull not to try and launch at too high rpm although from what I hear Irwindale is very good for 60ft's. Are you going this Thursday?
no insult taken dude yeah this thursday or the next but im shooting for this thursday...yeah ill probably launch from 2k first and move on up...im gonna try to get my buddys DRs this weekend and see if i can find some 15 in. rims to put them on...i cant wait!...i know it takes time to run well so im not expecting to run quick...just wondering what would be a good time for my mods and a good driver hey 94cobra, you gonna go this thurs? what mods do you have? IF you go maybe we can grudge
I'll have to check to see what's going on but I might. I'll let you know here if I'm going. For mods, I have a forged stock bore short block with AFR 165s, Saleen/Vortech intake (ported), a Vortech SQ S-trim and all the supporting fuel and exhaust mods for the SC. I also have 4.10s and a T56 and I run MT ET Streets that are 26x11.5x17 on stock GT rims.
