Want to add sub and amp to my Mach460.
I can get this setup for $335 installed:

-Sony Xplod 480gtx amp
-Sony 10" xsl 1000b sub

What do you guys think?

I'd stay away from sony amps and subs.
Here's what I'd recommend if you're looking for a beginner system:

If you install it yourself, it should be only around $300 or so, a little bit more if you get it installed somewhere else. It'll sound a lot better than the Sony setup anyday.
For other subs, look at Elemental Designs 10K and Alpine Type-R for around the same price.

Get the sub in a dual 4-ohm setup, and run the VC's in parallel to get a 2ohm load on the amp.

A good cheap amp, id get Profile CA 800, very good depenable amps, and alpine type R 12", or a PG 12" INFINITY PERFECT 12" only $120 at link below
