The door can be replaced fairly easily but repairing a rear quarter panel is a beech. You basically have to cut out the interior sheetmetal to get to the back of the outer sheetmetal. There is access holes in the interior metal but they aren't big enough to let you do the job. Plan on spending alot of time to get that part done right.

Basically this would be a project car after getting a 03 GT. I'd drive this one too/from school as to not put mileage on the 03 and just fix it up when I had the $$ to do so. Plus I love these body styles.

From my experience with just almost exactly the same thing, my opinion is to let it go to someone else. I have gone through enough grief with the car, and havent even really done anything to it yet! But, if you really have your heart set for it and don't mind doing an assload of work, then by all means pick her up and make her yours. Just my $0.02.

Want to get rid of yours then? I'll take it off your hands

I mean, it would just be a project car that's cheap. If driveable I wouldn't worry too much about it. Then again, I could always accidently hit a tree on that side and get insurance to pay for it J/K!

Just make sure it is really what you want before you buy it. I have made that mistake more than once. It isn't fun to settle for something less than you want and than you can afford just because it seemed good at the time. Good luck whatever you dicide!

I am getting a 03 GT too as my "primary" car. This one would be just for me to learn stuff on. I'll talk to the place a little bit more though. It seems like it might have been used as a drag strip car only. We'll see
