a friend of mine was looking at buying an 03-04 cobra last week and asked me to help him find a good deal. i found a 03 with 17,000 miles on it and it was bone stock for 24,900. i also found him a stock silver 04 with 19,000 miles on it and that one had the chrome wheels on it that he had to have and that also was 24,900. he comes to work 2 days later with a 03 with 37,000 miles on,it has a shifter and a K&N. first thing i notice is that the rear tires have been replaced, and i asked him if the fronts were too and he says "i dont know" i looked and no. he took me for a quick ride, pulling out of work front end pops,get to the stop sign and the cars idleing between 800 to 1500, we go around the block and he gets on it a little bit and then the damn thing dies and we coast back in to the parking lot. he picked the car up for 26,900 from a dealer and had about 4 grand on top of that for his other loan. i told him to go get his old car back, but i think hes going to keep it. im kind of mad because he asked for my help and then goes and buys someone elses problem. 37,000 miles? right out of factory waranty,which he didnt buy another waranty. sorry so long,kind of ranting too

that vehicle should have come with atleast a 30 day warranty or a certain mileage. if after two days, I would take it back, demand it to be fixed, or like you said get his old car back, if it is still there. If that doesn't work, better business bureau, and threaten them with an attorney. my 97 had 96000 on it and had a 30 day 3000 mile warranty, from a small car lot. be a DIC or get screwed. might want to try to get it checked out by another reputable mechanic, who can tell you exactly what is wrong so you don't get the run around. good luck
