What does one of those $180 ignition boxes really do?

Ive seen the ads of ho wthe ignitions produce multiple sparks, but they really dont UP the spark do they? See, i want to know is how much power they really add? are they even worth the price...the only good thing i see is that after, you can add a spark retard/advance dial, etc but do they really help power. I know msd has one, and crane.

I have a MSD 6 AL box with a MSD blaster Coil and It works very well it keeps a nice strong spark for your plugs so it will combust better It will add a little bit of power as well.

The main place I understand that your engine really needs it is when you have the possibility of blowing the spark out from a power adder situation. There might be other reason or just to keep your ignition in top form.

It probably dont do a lot on a stock car, woudlnt hurt though. On a power adder car, it definatly helps. If you have enough boost or nitrous then you'll have problem without it.

Lots of 300 rwhp NA cars with stock ignitions can be found without looking very hard.
