i recently got my new engine in my car, and i know ur not suppose to get on it too hard, but yesterday i got on it in first gear and it kinda popped out of gear when it past the 3500 rpm range, does something need to be adjusted? or could it be the e brake cable bracket rubbing on the driveshaft? any help would be great, thanks -Jeff

Your wrong in thinking your not supposed to get on a new engine. Although, im sure yours has some miles on it before you even got it. So just drive it like a man now. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Fwiw, sounds like a misadjusted shifter stop.

That thing looks pretty cool. Must be fun in the winter whn the roads are covered in snow and no cars out. I bet you have some fun then

I never tried that link but if I ever did, i'd use that method.

Wow...I feel enlightened...what he says makes alot of sense....when we break in the 250R motors for the quads, we use his methods...never thought about it for a 4 stroke or car...Hmmmm

Had a tweaked out 500 Quadzilla motor on this...It was crazy/stupid fast...but kept eating cranks... Bored the ole 250R .010 over, ported the head, and some others goodies...Its gotta be damn near as fast as the 500....

Def gonna try that on the next car motor I do...makes alot of sense to me...

Winter means ice racing..with studded tires it hooks like crazy...My Son is gonna start 1/8 mile dragging it...The thing screws !!!! Got a mean ass powerband to it..
We been tweaking 250R motors for years...bikes, 3 wheelers and quads...
