What engine do I have?

I don't have the book I need at hand at the moment, but if my memory servers me the D0VE means that you have heads from a 1970 Lincoln engine. I'm not 100% sure what the A2A means, but I believe that it means that they are from a 460.

1970 429 or 460 heads with smaller combustion chamber vs post 72 larger chambers (I BELIEVE). I also don't have my book here.

Not sure how accurate but this is what I found on another forum.

D0VE was 77CC
D3VE was 97CC .
D0VE heads have a stud rocker system
D3VE heads have a slotted pedestal/sled rocker system.

And there are minor differences in the exhaust port size.

Also D0VE-C have the largest ports available on the Stock 429-460 heads.

DOVE heads were the std heads for the 70-71 429/460's. Screw in studs and small quench chambers. Have em fitted with the CJ sized valves and ported to match CJ ports and you've got an excellant set of heads. The studs will also need to be replaced with non positive stop studs and the bosses milled to accomodate guide plates for bigger cams.
