I would like to find out if my fuel pump is stock or larger without dropping the tank. Is there a way to check with a digital multimeter or maybe through the pressure of the fuel line at an X amount of rpm or something to that matter? Mine seems louder then other mustangs that are stock. I am looking to replace it with a 255lph unit but would hate to buy it drop the tank and well look it was already a 255lph or 190 for that matter. Any info would help, Thanks

I guess you could do it how we used to test fuel pumps back in the day and do a volume test, like you suggested. This can be meaningful because you will see what volume you're flowing, regardless of the rating of the pump.

GIven the run of wiring, to note the couple amp difference between a 255 and smaller pump would really be guesswork IMHO.

Good luck.
