What fuel pump?

I'd ditch the hobbs switch and wire it direct if I were you. Almost every tuner I know of recommends getting rid of it. It's been known to provide erratic A/F ratio's and as a result rich and lean fuel spikes throughout the power band. Especially when you're in and out of the throttle.

Ran mine all last season like that. It's really easy to do and won't effect the life of your pump or BAP system any.
