I need some help finding out what gear ratio my 94 GT has. It's a 5 speed and someone said I have either 3:08s or 3:27s and I know there is a place to tell this in the door jam, so can someone tell me what to look for exactly and what the codes are?
Not true!All mustangs from 87-95 came with either 2.73's standard or optional 3.08's vertes and some autos had 3.27's!All you have to do as stated in my earlier post is check the axle code either inside the door frame or the metal plate on the rear!My 95 Gt had 2.73's.Not for long though!ARed1995GT said:my 95 5 speed gt coupe came with 3.08's, the older mustangs 87 - 93 came with 2.73's i believe

M=2.73's
Z=3.08's
I highly doubt you have 3.27's unless it was changed mostly drop tops came with 3.27's

yes thats right E
not 3.08
not 2.73

a big fat ****ing E!!!!!!!!
how about that![]()
anyone care to post a picture of what theirs looks like
cause as far as i know. ive just beenby a god damn sticker
Trust me go with the 3.73's if you had a 93 or earlier i would say 3.55's.It takes alot to get our heavy sn95's moving and the differance is only about 100 rpm's a 80 mph between the two!5.0_GT_kid said:Yeah it's stock. And the axle code said I had 3:08s. One of my first mods will be 3:55 or 3:73 gears since the car sees alot of highway time.
