I have a 99' Cobra... I have the stock gears in it and I want to put some lower gears in. I have a set of 3.73 and a set of 4.10. I hear 4.10's work really well in the Cobra's since they make power at 4 grand but I don't want too lose too much fuel efficiency. I want my car to launch like a bat out of hell.... would 3.73 do much or should i just go with the 4.10's?

For modular engine cobras, 4.10 or higher! 4.30 is a pretty good choice for frequent track duty. Don't fear the gear.

gas mileage is not that different... 15 miles less to a tank at most. i get like 240 miles to a tank and that's a mix of a lot of highway and street driving.

3.73's are a waste, might as well stay stock.

I know lots of guys with Cobras usually run 4.30s. If you have an 03/04 Terminator though, i know those guys dont go higher than 3.73s

I have 4.30's in my 96 cobra, but I also have a T56. Winds out nicely and I cruise around 80mph usually at around 3k.

I put 3.73's in my '99. Went to 4.10 when I bought the '01. The 3.73 gears were OK, but they weren't a big change compared to stock. The 4.10's make a big difference in acceleration and driveability doesn't suffer.
