what gears are in my stang

not 100% true, Mustangs could have 2.73's, 3.08's or 3.27 from the factory, just depends on the option package ordered. my 1996 which I ordered had 2.73's in it. best-bet is to look at the tag bolted to the rear axle, on that tag are some #'s saying whats in there. ie:2 L 73 = 2.73, 3 L 08 = 3.08 and 3 L 27 = 3.27 the "L" in the tag # meens its a locker (or posi).

in the 99+ though, i didnt think there was an option like there was previously. i thought all 99+s got 3.27s, except didnt the mach 1s get 3.55?

no, we had a 2000 GT automatic in here last month that had 3.08's in it and we installed 4.10's for the guy. like I said, it all depends on what option package was ordered by the dealer
