Yep, it sucks big time. The server crashed and the admins only thought to back up the database every few months. They should really make it a weekly habit. Either way, I was up to 320+ posts.. now I look like a noob again. My sig is all messed up and I'm just too lazy to go back and fix everything. I actually managed to do my Enviromental Systems lab because I was too mad at stangnet to waste time on it tonight. lol. Anyways, I really hope stangnet learned its lesson and they will take better precaution in making backups of the database more often than they had been. 7000+ members lost, lots of threads, lost of posts.. all gone.. buh bye.

shttygtstng - They're still diagnosing the problem, but it would appear that the server took a big dump due to not being able to interpret posts with missing punctuation, missing capitalization, mis-worded statements/questions and mis-spelled words.

Uh - oh - I misspelled mis-spell. The server may crash at any time....

Its just funny to think that they would only back it up once every couple of months! its a joke!

Yeah, when not doing illegal things in my Stang, I am an IT administrator. Weekly backups would be a minimum on a site like this - nightly would be better.

So now maybe I have the motivation to setup my own (yes, yet another) stang forum and community...with less obtrusive ads, more features, and DAILY backups.

Well, time to fix my sig. and remain angry about my posts dropping a LOT, losing my PMs with lots of useful info from people, and my constant educating people about turbos
