when i bought my gt used the clutch already came in with a firm clutch, over time i started to notice looseness at the beginning of pressing it in and figured it was worth getting looked at, the mechanic said it was time to get a new clutch so i forked over the money to get a new clutch kit. i figured when the new one was installed it would just go back to the same firmness that i was always used to but when i drove it out of the ford dealership parking lot i was amazed at how little resestance there was when pushing it in and easing off it, this made for faster shifts and overall better performance and i loved driving it again. unfotunately over time (about a week) the clutch went back to it's normal stiffness and i don't like it, is this normal? are all mustang clutches supposed to be stiff like this or is there simething more going on here?

ok while rolling forward put your toe under the clutch, it should lift up an inch or so (You can do it while sitting still but its easiest to do while rolling ((I like to do it in 2nd)))

Now press back down. Done.

Hopefully when you did your clutch you also did the pivot ball. It's very common for the ball to wear into the clutch fork,

One other thing that can be the problem is the clutch cable, if you replace the cable and it's still stiff then the problem is most likey caused by the pivot ball
