Not mine but a family members. He has had the car about 4 months. Warmed over 306, T5, 3.73, 31 spline axles, Nitto 555R's. Was driving down the road today and said the car was leaning to the rear, stopped and found this.

Make sure to get the housing welded to the axle tubes next time.

Nitto 555s, 31 spline axles, built motor = break ish. Weld the axle tubes in....put a girdle on it. Next is driveshaft....u joints...trans. How much power is he making....jeeeesh ?!

Not very much, I would guess slightly over 300 rwhp base on some 8.4X 1/8th mile ETs. I just have to wonder if this car didn't wheel hop extremely bad, or if this axle was under another higher horsepower car before.

The housing broke. It broke on the side that has been btch slapped all of it's life from the day it was new. Welding the tubes to the housing probably would've stopped that from happening as had already been said, but I've never seen one break.

I'm sure they do, and I've seen tubes bend forward so bad the passenger side was 1/2" forward, but that's the first time I've seen a break.

Yeah, i'm with you on that one. I have seen them warped and twisted, even welded, but never broken.
