What header bolts do you guys use for long tube headers?

What size, length and brand header bolts do you guys use for long tube headers?

ARP Stainless. Length will depend on thickness of your header flanges (vary between brands)

Most SBF headers end up needing either a .750" or 1.00" header bolt, again, depending on the thickness of the flange.

Best would be the ARP's but i like a grade 8 allen head bolt myself...they're just as strong but you get to use an allen head to tighten them which is much easier.

BBK one piece flange (3/8"?) into AFR head threads.

i am running stage 8s, but without the locking tab doohickies. my header tubes are not kinked enough for them to fit over.

Parts store header bolts and lockwashers on both of my 'stangs - nary any problem and headers have been on and off for various reasons.

Check the tightness after a couple heatcycles and they are good to go.
