What HP #'S with these mods

Originally I was thinking of going with a KB 6psi but have always wanted to stay NA. So I was reading this months issue of MM&FF and on their 01' engine which they modded using TEA heads, comp cams and a few other bolt ons and have managed to squeeze out 325-350 rwhp. What do you guys think? Would new heads, cams, some TB/plenum improvement, headers a chip and a few other bolt ons get an otherwise stock 4.6 over the 300 mark? Damn it was so much easier with the chevy sb's 15 years ago

how about cams, lt headers, mid-pipe,gears, tb/plenum, and custom chip. that'll get you well over 300. I think the stock heads are good enough.

Not sure what the comp is for a stock 4.6 but the MM&FF was 9.0. I agree that the stock heads are good from all reports on here and recent research, but adding cams it wouldnt hurt to have them massaged with new goodies. Does anyone know anything about those Patriot Heads I keep reading about? They are only around $1300 for stage I and 1500 for Stage II. If I can get 350rwhp for 2-3k that would be awsome!
