what interior pieces are leather

Well my front and rear seats are ALL Leather!

Very nice. :nice:

I had seriously considered buying my latest Mustang with just a cloth interior, and immediately replace the cloth with after-market leather (like yours). However, you can't get an "optioned-out" Mustang without getting factory leather too.

My 1996 fully equipped GT Convertible only has leather on the front seating surfaces, steering wheel and the shift knob which I added after the fact. The rest of the interior is vinyl and plastic. This is not all that uncommon, a lot of BMW’s, Audis and other much more exotic cars are equipped the same or contain no leather at all. I will grant that the Ford leather is very poor quality. That being said I can hardly wait to see a live production 2005!

A real live 2005 visited my Mustang club during the Pony Drive. Ford had a big display truck with plexiglas sides so one could see the '05 sitting inside. The trailer was illuminated so the car could be seen while they motored down the highway. In connection with an MDA activity, Ford rolled it out and put it on the street for club members to ogle. The car is a nice car but has some characteristics I personally dislike when compared to the current model. For one, the seat tracks appear longer giving the driver/passenger more legroom. Guess what happened in back? NO legroom! Reminiscent of some Jaguar 2+2's from awhile back. Only suitable seating for tots exist in the back seat area and the government mandates child seats. Try getting them in...hence the rear seat is decoration only. Don't like the high center console. Looks cool but isn't at all comfortable (re: Fiero). Don't care for the cheap "Shelby" window glued on the sail panel. I liked the GT Concept gill a lot better. Don't get me wrong, its a very nice and stylish automobile but its a step down from its concept car promise...maybe the concept style is being reserved for Cobra.
Just my two cents.

Mine had every option except Leather, I thought I hated Leather until I got the FR 500's.

Well, at least in 2003, there were some options, like the Mach 1000 and the Bright Wheels, which could only be ordered on the Premium version. And, of course, the Premium version came with leather.

So, that is what links "every option" with leather. :(

From what I understand, the FR500 leather wasn't Ford's regular garbage leather, but instead, came from Classic Soft Trim. Classic Soft Trim is known for actually using quality leather.
