I stumbled across a Super Cobra Jet intake at a neighbors and I was wondering what they would go for ? It's the real deal, I decoded the numbers.

What intake ? 428? 429? The 428 unit is maybe worth $100. The 429? somewhat less, these were also installed on 70's jet boat motors. I know where there's one right now. Both are unnessarily heavy, and no better performers than what the aftermarket offers now. Might be worth more to a collector who's restoring a car and needs a specific date coded intake.

No such thingie as a "SCJ" intake. The "SCJ" stuff was all bottom end, rods, balancer, and driveline.

It may be a PI intake if it is a "FE" motor, or maybe a CJ intake if it is a "385" motor....

There is a difference between the 429 cj and scj. It'll have a square bore pattern if it is a 429scj and a spread bore for a quadrajet if it is for a 429cj. What is the #'s?

D0OE-9425-C that's the number. I don't see any on Ebay...least not when I looked so I have no idea what they go for.

It also appears he's got a set of Boss 302 Heads...that I'd like to get my hands on but that may be a tougher pitch.

A 428 PI aluminum intake would be worth more than a 428 CJ intake unless someone wanted correct date codes.

Right. There's a difference between the intakes on 429's but not on 428's. Like I said before, the 429 SCJ intake was std equipment on 460 jet boat motors and lots of those are still around.
