New member and this is my first post, so I hope I did it right. I have a 92 Stang with cold idle problems and hot idle problems. I know I need to put in an ACT sensor as I dont have one, and there is no vacumme line to the PCV valve (it is capped), so I will fix that but I am getting a code 85 for something called a CANP, what is that?

Just bought the car and was told it is a 306 with a lunati voodoo cam (dont know specs), 24lb injectors, typhoon intake, 65mm t-body and spacer, under drive pully, mac headers, mac h-pipe, mac exaust, pro-m mass air for 24lb injectors, and 3.55 (which I doubt because with the black 20 tooth gear at 100 on the speedo I am actually doing 118), new world class t-5 (that does not stay in reverse) etc.etc.etc.

This is my 6th Mustang and I will never drive anything else.:flag:

You did well for your first post (we have people whom have been here years who still cant get it right. :D ).

I'd get the ACT hooked up. It isnt a super huge sensor compared to some but it can help with drivability issues. Do we dare ask what is where the ACT sensor should be (or does your intake not have a provision for one)? You can relocate the ACT to the airbox or air inlet tubing if you have to.

CANP should be your EVAP purge solenoid. This solenoid opens to introduce stored fuel vapor from the charcoal cannister. SOmeone might have removed yours.

Be sure to create a sig - you can nearly copy/paste your second paragraph into it. You have enough mods that it will help folks out when you ask questions.

Welcome and good luck!

I assume the hole in the Typhoon intake is on the upper plenum facing foreward on the neck after the egr spacer:shrug: Right now there is just a plastic screw in there. I know in the stock one it sits in the lower between runners one and two, but there is no provision in the Typhoon there, so I think the other hole is it. I just have to go to NAPA and get one to see. And yes my charcole filter is gone. I see the vent line from the tank run until just under the passenger seat. I would like to do something about that because I can really smell the vapor when I run it in the carport.
