Hi!

I AM LOSING SLEEP OVER THIS!

Anyways, while working on my convertible top I noticed the underside of the passenger A pillar has gotten quite a bit of rust... I know for sure it hasn't been replaced or repaired since I got the car the brand new. There has been work done by the service department in that general area, involving the replacement of some of the insulation, but nothing more...

anyways, i noticed that Jas**** had some experience with some rust... please give me some advice so I figure it out!

I had a problem with a paint crack in the trunk lid on my 99GT vert. The primer had bubbled and caused the top coat to crack. The ruling, even though it was found to be Ford's fault was that this was a blemish and should only be covered within the 1 year, 12,000 miles. Now as for rust, the only time it will be covered is if it rusts through within 6 years. So, you can either have it painted and pay for it, or find something that is really corrosive and help it to rust through.

Good luck.
Mike

looks like its the frame... not the pillar itself... frame integrity failure would suck and i am getting close to the end of the warranty... only 6k miles left
