What is good replacement fuel filter ?

I need to replace the fuel filter. Supercharged vehicle.

I have the stock filter currently, thinking I should go with a high-flow filter now. What's a decent, not-too-high priced easy replacement filter ?

The fuel lines are a lot more restrictive than the stock fuel filter. I mean new stock style of course. Purulator is a good brand.

Any of the parts stores ones will get it done for you. If you want to step up to a high-flow filter, you will spend "high-flow" dollars.

OK. Then I guess the next question is, is it worth going to a high-flow or am I ok just replacing with the stock filter again?

Depends on your setup. As mentioned above -- if you are not even considering swapping to larger lines, running a stock type filter is probably fine.

Since your saying "supercharged" I'm assuming that is about the extent of "engine mods" so the stock Motorcraft Fuel filter will be fine as a replacement.

I believe the part # is FG800A or something like that???

It's actually a factory five cobra replica. 9lb powerdyne, edlebrock heads, edlebrock upper and lower. lines are standard diameter lines.

If you dont lose pressure at WOT near redline, I would not see the filter as a restiction.

I would go with a Motorcraft or Purolator as mentioned. Unless you see the need for a free flower (which I cant answer).
