i converted my 68 stang to a 5 speed and i used a new stock style cable and it just melted in a 20 mile drive. i have the header wrap on it and it still melted.

i would like to find out what you 5.0 guys use. also i have long tube headers and i have 1 1/2" clearance around the cable. again the cable was wraped in header wrap. Thanks in advance

The MM universal cable might give you some extra room around the headers.

I would also go with MMS they are an OEM which is pretty much the best clutch cable for the mustang many of the other aftermarket ones snap. The mms universal that HISSIN50 mentioned has extra length for header clearance, check it out
