What is the difference between these 2 Ford Posi's (Pics)

These are both Ford 8.8 Posi units, first one was removed from a 1995 Explorer, and the second was removed from an 2002 Mustang GT. Just wondering why they look different or if there are major any differences, other than the Explorer posi is 31 spline.

The first one has a speed sensor on it. Where as the mustang unit has the speed sensors out by the brakes.

yeah, I do believe thats the ABS ring. They can't put it out on the wheel in the X because of the brake setup.

The explorer unit is most likely for 31 spline axles and the mustang one would be 28 spline.
