I want to put together 2 mustang took kits.

The first kit is the keep in the trunk kit to help others and for those emergency repairs.
The second kit is what would be the necessary tools to bring to a pick-a-part junk yard. Like pulling suspension or exhausts or intakes and heads.

So kit I.
1. Electric ½ in Impact wrench
a. Deep socket for lug nuts.
b. Quick release adapter for screw bits
2. Electric screw driver / drill
a. ¼ inch socket adapter
b. 3/8 inch socket adapter
3. Standard type screw drivers
a. Philips
b. flat head
4. sockets / wrenches
a. 6mm – 12mm
b. 1/2” , 3/8”

Kit II (the above included)

1. Wrenches and sockets.
a. 15MM
b. 17MM
c. 18MM
d. 21MM

if it got something wrong please correct me. and please add to the list.

Duct Tape
Extra fuses
teflon tape
pocket-knife or utility knife combo
small amount of parachute cord (its very strong cord!! and it's cheap)
Edit: shop towels, small bottle of water to wash hands with

hmm i would say just change the name to: What are 'must have' tools to keep in your Mustang?

Depending on your insurer, state, and coverage levels, towing insurance can be quite reasonable. It made more sense for me than AAA, but I heartily agree that roadside assistance is a smart move. I'm still dealing with the fallout from not calling a tow truck in August, before I had said insurance.

Yea, but those 12mm end wrenches do come in handy on old 1/2" battery terminal bolts. And you will need a few when swapping in a later model 5.0. Like the pressure plate bolts.

I think Hearne had it right at 12mm. If they're worn to nubs, you can hammer a 12mm wrench or socket on the worn 1/2" nut and get it off nicely. In fact that's a good tip for disassembling old, rusty stuff. If you round off the SAE bolt head, hammer the next size down metric on it. You'd be amazed at how often that works.

This ain't a thread about the Sopranos. You would also need a car with a bigger trunk than a Mustang. Unless you chop up the body first. But that's messy.

If we are still talking about 5.0 stuff, then the little socket tool to change the TFI on the side of the dizzy. I keep one with me on long trips just in case.
Anew serpintine belt if the one on the car is anywhere close to being questionable.

my other car is a GTO and it has a trunk the size of a mailbox, so the mustang hauls the corpses.
