I am searching for a part for my 1983 Mustang Convertible. I am not sure what it is even called. I have been scouring the internet looking and can not find it. It is a suspension part, possibly a body stiffener. It comes in 2 parts and looks like an X when together. It goes from the outsides of the radiator mount, to the center of the K member, then out to the subframe under the firewall. Any help would be great. The original one on my car got rubbed in half by the motor that was loose and torquing bad.
Thank you
Jeff

They are V-braces. At one time Ford racing sold "stiffening kit" which was factory vert parts(two "V" braces arranged like an "X", floor pan braces) that was also sold aftermarket by Ford Motorsport/FRPP (M-5024-A).
