Engine what is this?

this part fell from my motor. the motor is on a stand and ive got the oil pan and valve covers off. i came out this morning and this was laying on the ground underneath the engine. any help would be appreciated, thanks

That is a valve that goes inside your power steering pump. Same exact thing happened to me and i forgot to put it back in when i put the motor in and no power steering.
