They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

I think that's for the cruise control, to turn it off when depressing either the clutch or brake, can't remember which.

YEP. It is the vacuum hose for the CC that is supposed to be attached the brake pedal. When you depress it, it turns the CC off by opening the vacuum valve on bladder.

eh... some of us still have CC, which is partly why I haven't switch out the stock airbag steering wheel. The only guy I knew that made the CC brackets to mount on aftermarket wheels stop making them years ago. Plus, it is nice to cruise on the highway with it on.

My CC got too notchy at some point down the modification trail, and I gave up on it. I missed it for a while, but since the car became a play toy, it just doesn't matter much anymore....

I've never owned a Stang with working cruise control. And I've had more than my share of Stangs.

CC was the only option my car never came with. Had the AOD, sunroof, block heater, etc....but no factory cruise control. I thought that was very odd.

Since my stang was my first car, and i never had CC, i never needed to use it. To this day in my new DD's...i never use Cruise Control.

CC is amazing. I once had the CC on the interstate and ran it a solid two hours before I had to brake. Good car karma that day.
