I have never been happy how my car handles from day one. So I had B springs, Bilstens, Steeda X-2 ball joints, MM caster camber plates and a bump steer put in. She still drives like crap. Sure she turns good and has a nice drop/rake to but she’s all over the road, left, right then sometimes strait, it’s so annoying. Why can't she just drive strait? I have had three alignments done and new tires put on but still no difference. I do notice that my front tires rub when I turn the wheel all the way left or right, is that suppose to happen? Anyways I'm running out of ideas of what to do to get her to drive strait. Some times when I hit a bump the front of my car wants to bounce left and right. Also if I hit a good size bump on my left side I will hear a loud thud. site I'm going to get MM full length sub frames to see what that will do.

You have had 3 alignments done...but how good were they?

Also a minor detail, but the type of tire you are running can play a big part in the way your car travels on the road. I just swapped a set of Khumo's I got for free on for the summer and put my BFG KDWS's away till winter, and the difference is huge.

So I guess you mean the Kumhos dont track strait.........
I have to agree with that.... I ran some Kumho ASX when I had my 99 and
they just wandered all over.

+1 on the tires. On my GT I have use Kuhmo ecsta's and BFG's,thos didnt wander on me,I honestly kinda liked the kumho as a BFG alternative for DD.But when I got this mach the dealer put Fuzion ZRi's on it and it will not drive strait without alot of effoert from me, and dont get me started on the road noise goin down the interstate on them, sounds like a 4x4 with swampers.I hate these tires, when they are gone im getting BFG's on it.

As for the rubbing im running 275/40/17 on factory stock bullits and I get no rubbing what so ever.

I also had a slight rub when I turned all the way to the right. I took the wheel off and noticed the push pin for the plastic in the wheel well had come out a little cleared the noise right up.

The problem you are feeling is BUMPSTEER! Also known as travel change, toe change, bump toe change, etc... Basically when the suspension does its job the toe in/our angle changes too much so the car pulls to one side or another randomly (sometimes depending on the crowning of the rds, etc.). Did you have the bumpsteer kit PROPERLY installed, or just shimmed up so the tie-rods are paralell to the control arm? You really need to bust out the bumpsteer gauge and have at it, it will really help, seriously!

Are your sway bar end links and isolator bushings in good condition.
As for the rubbing in a full turn Im pretty sure thats not right.
Ive got 275's on 9" wheels and they have never rubbed......

i have rub on mine...I have BFGoodrich T/A KD 275/40/17's on the front, and both of mine do it, but I have to turn it all the way to get it to rub.

yep same with mine...but I haven't checked the wheel wells yet for that problem.

I had all the work done at Ford. I will bring her to a performcne shop and get everything checked out. This is the list I will have them do.

Front tires rub when the wheel is turned all the way left or right.
Large clunk on the front drivers side when going over a bump.
J-mod

Id say you could almost eleiminate bumpsteer on most of these cars with a simple caster change
