What kind of intake is this?

That's a picture of my engine bay, and it seems to have an aftermarket (C&L) intake on it. Is this a CAI, or what?

Yes its just a CAI, prolly a C&L, it really doesn't matter they are all pretty much the same.

I got the same heat shield on mine BUT stock piping. Still thinking about replacing the plumbing with the K&N kit, but dunno if worthwhile

Get an upper plenum and TB and you'll see some decent gains.

You can always port the plenum for more airflow since you want to keep the horse.

Haha, well it's honestly not a huge deal. Probably easier for me to just buy a new one along w/ a TB. Do you guys recommend any specific ones?

I have the C&L plenum and Accufab 75mm TB combo, I felt some decent power and my exhaust tone sounded a little more aggressive. The Accufab plenum is also great.

You can get your stock plenum ported pretty cheap btw. I heard only for about 50 bucks.

You could get it ported 75mm and get an accufab 75mm TB to match up. Total cost should run you about 250-275. Accufab is expensive but worth it because they are top notch

top notch in looking great, but there really isn't much of a difference in any of the intakes, especially the plenum - it's basically an elbow. I'm running perfessional products polished TB+Plenum, think i got both for $225. When i find a problem, i'll let you know, lol. A guy in the local club is running 12psi through his, no problems.

I can't really tell for sure by the camera angle, but it looks like you have a C&l mass air meter(between the filter and intake pipe to the throttle body). If its plastic than its stock and if it's aluminum and silver than it's a C&L.

Dont waste your money on a TB/Plenum save up and do gears or something worth doing. Im running stock TB/Plenum and they're working fine, plus everyone knows youd be luck to see 5hp with them just because the stockers aren't that restrictive.
