My friend has a motor that I am trying to identify, We know that it is a 5.0 but it is not the original motor in the car, Where can I find a casting code or anything else that would help me Identify what year mustang It came out of.
I wrote ttt because there were no replies and I was hoping that someone who knows the answer to my question would see my post.
Anyway It took the intake off today and I found that it has solid lifters. What am I going to need for converting to a roller block?? I was also told that a block that is older like this one would have a two piece rear main seal. However thumper said something about machining the crank so you could use a one piece seal, how does this work? What other differences should I be looking for??
