Im going to pull-a-part later and I want to know what other vehicles I could get a distributor from? the only stang they have is a 84 and a 1990 4 banger and theyre not the same. Would one work from like a f-150 or something or an explorer? Also what about a map sensor also? Thanks

sensors you can usually compare the OE numbers on them , the distributor as long as it is a TFI distributor out of a 5.0 should work , but you have to remember to look and make sure they have the steel distributor gear , if it doesnt you will have to press your old gear off and on the other distributor .....

Main thing is to make sure it has a steel gear or an iron gear, depending on what's currently in your setup, otherwise you'll be finding metal shavings/bits in your pan. TFI modules on all EFI 5.0L motors (both low-po and HO) between 86-93 should be the same - Wells part #F121 - and ditto for the pickup coil and plug wires.

Donor cars to consider:
- '86+ Lincoln Mark VII (HO or non-HO)
- '86-'91 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, Town Car (all are EFI 5.0's, Town Car went to 4.6L in '91)
- some 5.0L F-Series trucks (not sure on years with them)
- '86+ 5.0L T-Birds, Cougars

As far as the MAP, make sure whether you're looking for a M-A-P or a B-A-P sensor; a MAP is only for the speed-density cars, and a BAP (Barometric Air Pressure ... doesn't have a vacuum line attached to it) is for mass-air cars. The only mass-air models listed above are those equipped with the HO motors (89-93 T-bird/Cougar, HO Mark VII), and maybe some years of the F-Series trucks (again, not sure what years on those). The rest are speed-density.

DW, there were push start and non push start (grey and black) TFI's. It does matter.

Thanks DW But Cant I use a MAP or a BAP sensor? I thought they were the same thing except one is plugged into vacuum (MAP) and the other (MAF) is vented to the atmosphere. So anyways get a grey one tfi module dizzy with a steel gear right since I have a E303 roller cam?
