I have my differential out of the car, and was going to strip and paint with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator, the only problem is rust encapsulator is dull. What have others used in the past. Thanks in advance!

I use Hammerite Rust Cap. Home Depot carries it and its is available in different colors and finishes. I uses the gloss and IMO, its too glossy.

I had the housing powdercoated, sort of a semi-gloss. The diff housing I painted with aluminum.

You could use POR 15. It is real shiny. Too glossy for suspension parts I think. I think it may come in a semi-gloss black also.

If you already have the Rust Encapsulator you could use that for keeping the rust away and put a more glossy paint over it as it is paintable. I think this would work well as I have used Rust Encapsulator and liked the results and the can does say it can be topcoated.
