I have a manual and a Pro 5.0. I can bang the gears pretty good, at least I impress all my friends. What makes anyone a good shifter, and am I good, or just ok? How could I tell?

I'd like to think I'm a fast shift but Nik_95Cobra always seems to bang the gears out better. Gets my tires to chirp where I thought no chirping existed

Paul has some videos around here somewhere (actually probably got lost in the server crash) where he is banging through the gears, and holy ***** he makes everybody else I've seen look like they're driving an 18-wheeler. Ask him for the videos, they were really tight.

There was a guy on turbomustangs.com that had an incar video with him shifting at the track. You cant even push the clutch in as fast as this guy could shift.

Yeah I'm somewhat afraid to really try to shift my car hard with 111,000 miles on it because I don't want to put a new tranny in right now because I have no funds. Well except for performance parts. HAHA. But I do shift pretty good but I believe I can do more.

Anyone power shift a stock T5???

Paul's threads where he posted his in-car shifting videos survived the crash. But the links to the videos are dead.

Too bad, those were some mean shifts.

in paul's threads he talked about moving his seat up to push the gas/clutch and reach the shifter better, i'm short, so i did this tonight, and it really helps. But i only do it when racing at the track like paul
