what master cyl for dise brake conversion?

I just swaped to turbo coupe rear disks.
I know i need a disk disk proportioning valve. I want to do as little work as possible so i want just a whole master cylinder with out resivor.

What would be the best master cyl for my application, i will also want to go with 73 mi's up front eventually.

I used Matt Bobbit's web site and went with the '93 Cobra MC with Cobra brakes all around. I also went with a booster from a 94-95 GT to get a little more boost to make up for the cam. Matt sells the adapters you need for the conversion. You will also need to mod the E-brake handle as outlined on Matt's website.

A 93 Cobra brake booster is the best choice too as it has the same thread pitch on the studs and the studs are in the same exact place as the Fox Cars!

I used a 94-95 Mustang master cylinder. Note that rebuilt 94-95 Mustang master cylinders do not come with a reservoir. That means a trip to the junkyard and some more money spent. I also used the stock booster and saved some $$$. I have excellent pedal feel & travel.

i used the 94-95gt booster m/c combo as well.i got a new bendix m/c from advance auto with a reservoir for like $70.you have to ask for the one with a reservoir.i just used a wilwood adjustable valve for mine.it was only like $40 but it takes a little fooling with to adjust it right.

According to the Raybestos Brake website,their 94-95 Mustang master cylinders come with brand new plastic reservoirs. .

That's what you get when you go to the "Better auto parts stores".

Either the Autozone cheapie I got didn't have one or the price of a M/C with a reservoir was more than the cost of a trip to the junkyard.

I just did a 13" frt 12" rear wilwood disc swap and through all the research that I did I discovered that the ideal is the 93 cobra mc, but in lieu of that the SN95 mc is a very close second, (still not exactly sure why though, but this was the case at many sources I checked out)

Because a '93 Cobra M/C is a 1" bore while a SN95 GT MC is a 15/16" Bore.

Very close, but a little more leverage with the Cobra MC

I used stock M/C w/FRPP M-2005-K booster. I think the 2005-K booster is the 93 Cobra, but for cheaper. Slight messaging of fenderwell was necessary.

I took a slightly different route for slightly less work. I just pulled the proportioning spring from a 95 GT and put it in my stock 90 mc.
You could do this with just about any car that has 4discs. The better vehicles to pull from will have very similar brake sizes to what you are going to.
