Anybody know what kind of mc this is?? Im pretty sure its bad, and needs replaced. I have the Turbo Coupe rear discs and its been converted to the two port as you can see, it also has the knob type proportioning valve. Im probably gonna replace with the sn95 mc, but this one doesnt have a detachable reservoir (unless Im blind) and none of the parts stores have the sn95 mc with a reservoir. Is this even the proper mc for my car, is that why the brakes suck? Ive tried adjusting the valve, but no changes, soft pedal, takes forever to stop. Thanks in advance........

Get an MC for an 87 Mk7 (plastic) or for an 85 Continental w/ Hydroboost (same as an aluminum SVO MC) That looks like the SVO MC to me.

I agree, looks like an SVO master cylinder. I have one on my car along with the larger 73mm SVO calipers. I think I paid $50.00 for the master at Discount (Advance) Auto Parts. And mine is aluminum as well

For the most part the SVO MC is only recommended if you have 73mm calipers and SVO rear disks with the 54mm calipers.

youll have to excuse for me being such a noob at brakes, but how do I know if I have the 73mm fronts? I just got the car, and the kid I bought from doesnt know anything about it. It has some drilled front rotors, so mb they upgraded the calipers too? What is the down side to replacing with a SVO mc? I can get a reman for $25 but the sn95 is like $100 cuz I have to get a new reservoir too...
