I have 95mm CAI, GT-500 throttlebody, FRPP CMCV delete, Bullitt mufflers, with an email tune I ran 13.05@107 on factory 18" BFG's and a 3.31 rear gear.

Like them man said it doesn't take much for these cars to go fast with a few mods.

A lightweight driveshaft would also cut your time down a little, maybe some UDPs and you'll definitely go in the 12s on top of what Sparta has.

Welcome!

OOOOOOhhh that's what I forgot, I also have UDP's. My next step is to install the American Racing Headers I've had in my shop for 4 weeks and a dyno tune, that will get me into the 12.8's.

stang in the 12s

my 60 foot time when i ran the 8.65 at the 1/8 mile was 2.0 2.2. but when my car was bone stock only slp axle backs i did 1.8 60 foot and i ran a 8.8. i forgot to mention i have slp axle backs with my other mods. so a bigger throttle body and what are those delete things. im sorry guys but im new to this stuff and i dont know what thoes abreviation mean. can you write it out for me. ill get the hang of it sooner or later.nice: do you guys have problem beating ls1 camaros or trans am's? this is why i started this thread cuz im from new orleans and thats the new thing to have a ls1 f-body and im going home for vacation. and my friends ar talking a lot of s**t. and i know those cars run 13.1 to 13.0 and some run 12.9. im trying kick some ass guys! with out a s/c or nos just mods.

UDP is underdrive pulleys but you probably knew this one

CMCV = Charge Motion Control Valves an old gimmick as old as fuel injection has been around. Basically these are little butterfly valves that are placed within the intake manifold tract to regulate the amount of airflow for either power or fuel economy by opening and closing them depending on engine load.

Overall this is an idea that becomes obsolete with a tune. By increasing efficiency throughout the power band by reducing your restriction that is created by the valve itself (even when fully opened) you're by default maximizing your fuel economy and power if you are conservative with your throttle usage.

I would do some drag radials and step up your rear gear, that should really help cut down on your time.

Drag radials, 4.10 gears, long tube headers and a good tune. Tires being the most important. You can have all the extra power but putting it to the ground is another thing. Going through this myself right now.

Drag radials and gears are not required for 13.0. I run 13.0 and have neither.

Intake, exhaust and traction (good launch with radials)- 13s isn't very difficult.

sparta with the mph you are running you would be well into the 12 second range. i wouldnt tell someone they dont need tires to go 13.0 just cuz you are doing it. you could probably been going 13.0 with less of the mods you have if you put a drag radial under your car and took a true advantage of the power you are making. im going 13.5 and would be into the 12s myself if i could launch my car at something more than 2000 rpm and bog it so i dont spin.

I don't really street race....much. But the few entanglements I've had with my car I've been victorious. Victims include one 98-02 Z28 badly I was stock, one T-Turbo 3 series bimmer badly when I was stock, one more T-Turbo 3 series bimmer with current mods and that was a slaughter, one SRT-8 Challenger with current mods, beat him by 3 cars. Couple other little ones not worth mentioning

I'm aware what E.T. mile mph is good for but I'ld rather have my mods the way they are. I don't like drag radials because there is very little flex, the more you hook the more likely something will go boom especially if you have them in factory sizes. I don't spin my tires off the launch, little series of chirps and I'm gone.
