I just bought a 1992 LX 5.0 5 speed with 74,000 miles. it has BBK equal length shorty headers, BBK ofroad H pipe, Flowmasters, 3:55 gear, short throw shifter, 1" intake riser, K&N filter, 4 wheel disc brakes, strut tower brace, and thats about it. I am looking for mods to do and I dont know where to start. I am looking to gain power as cheaply as possible. Let me know the best mods to make. I am looking to spend around $500. Any help would be great. Also the cluth pedal feels realy hard to push, is there a fix for this? You can post a reply or Email me at jsilorey@wideopenwest.com THANKS

You have a really good start in terms of taking care of basic bolt ons. If you want some other cheap mod ideas you could do a 65mm TB, bigger MAF, pullies. If you want to start making some real power though look into some H/C/I components like a new upper/lower intake manifold...cobra, gt40, or explorer would work great. Port the stock E7 heads, get a good valve job, maybe some new rockers. Look into a cam...remember that most guys do their H/C/I components to work with eachother so you should decide on a power level and driveability level that you want to achieve and pick parts to match that. Doing heads, cam and intake are going to make big power but cost big money and they need to be done right and tuned. as for the clutch pedal....i think thats normal for a mustang....hahah start lifting legs at the gym! good luck man

Pretty good summary...pullies are cheap...and I would definatly consider getting subframes...it stiffens up your car a lot and gets rid of some of those squeeks...pretty cheap to...

The clutch being hard could have something to do with the clutch cable itself...

I forgot to mention that it already has welded in subframe connectors.
