What mustang could I get for my trade in?

Hi,

I have 2003 altima 2.5S with 28,000 miles on it. I wanted to trade it into a ford dealer or sell it as a private party and buy a used mustang. I really want a GT Coupe. Without adding too much more money does it look like im going to to buy a 2000-2004 Mustang GT? Do you think a dealership could get me a good deal on a 2005 Mustang GT if I financed a bit of it. Sorry for the newb question. Thanks in advanced.

What do you mean upside down on the altima. Do you mean going from altima -> mustang is wrong or do mean if I owe money on it. The altima is all payed for.

I've recently traded my 03 Altima 2.5SL with 32k on it for my RX-8. They did paid off the car(and gave me extra $250 on top of it). But i was buying fully loaded RX-8Grand Touring which is about $33000. If i traded toward say 04 RX-8 with 30K on it, i prolly would not have gotten as much for the car.

So if you want the most out of your trade, go trade it toward 07

No one like their Altimas? I am looking to buy one this fall with the 3.5L V-6 so I can haul kids and groceries. I will probably be trading the 04 focus svt. Any draw backs to the altima, or reasons why I shouldn't get one? Thanks.

there were nothing wrong with my Altima. Mine was 2.5, but was excellent car.
Only beef i had with mine was for some reason, it kept eating tires. Aligment just would not stay for some reason. It was so bad that i thought the car might have been in accident priviously (But it wasn't)
It was unexciting car, but was trouble free car otherwise.

Did have alot of recall. Infact, thats the reason why we ended up trading. Last recall was something to do with ECM reporgraming for crank position sensor. Immidiately after recall was performed, car ran like poo.
We took it back and they said that ECM was bad and its gonna be $750+ to fix.
I borrowed the phone from service manager, and called Nissan of North America from there, and explained what happend, and probrem occured right after they did the recall on ECM.

After i handed the phone to service manager, dealer fixed it with no charge. But car never ran right after that.

but thats dealer's screw up, not the car.
