what new radiator is the best?

i am putting in a new radiator, and am curious what is the best way to go. im thinkin of aluminum, but not sure about duarblilty. should i go 3, 4, 5, core, or highflow or what? im not runnong very high horsepower. only about 300-325 at teh most. ive heard that if you get a highflow, the coolant moves through too fast to even cool. sound bogus to me, but only curious. thanks for any help.

That IS bogus. The coolant only flows as fast as your thermostat and water pump will let it. Besides, if the radiator is physically larger, the coolant will flow slower over a larger area, therefore cooling off more than otherwise.

A direct-fit 2 row(1 to 1.25" rows) aluminum will be good or a high efficiency 3-4 row brass.

I measured the square opening in the rad. support in my 1967 mustang, I wanted the biggest cross flow I could fit.
Then called Be Cool Radiators, and got an Aluminum crossflow. Terrific product, works great.
I think this radiator was actually made for a ford truck.

I was wondering if it is possible/wise to cut the radiator opening in our cars to fit a wider radiator. I was looking at getting a newer style radiator that is wider than the current one I have. I would also get a monte carlo bar is support became an issue.

You could trim it a little to open it up some, I wouldnt go too far.
