What PCV valve to run on a blown car?

I have a few buddies with blown 302's that are having problems with crankcase pressure. I know a lot of guys run a different PCV valve, like one from a super coupe or something. Anyone have a part number?

FWIW...I don't have a PN for you, but I have seen several cars' problems cured by running a breather in each valve cover.

I just have the stock one in place along with a breather. Of course Im not making insane hp and running a lot of boost like your friends may be.

I use to run the Super Coupe PCV. A Supra one also works If I remember correctly.

What Joe said...Ask for the one that is for the TBird Super coupe.
I found a pic, but I didnt have the PN.

Either the TBird Super coupe one like said above or one from a '95/96 Toyota Supra Turbo. it's a little smaller but just pick up the Toyota grommet from the parts store also and the grommet fits into the stock 5.0 PCV grommet.

You can really tell a difference between them and the stock one if you blow through it. It will completely close off.

Paul, Im running the 2.3 turbo pcv and an inline oil seperator w/ absolutely no problems. I also have a breather on my oil filler neck.

That's the same one I run and I still have oil coming out of the breathers at hard boost. I 'm going to have to get an oil catch can to relieve the problem.
If the are getting blow by then the catch can is the ticket from what I've been reading.

Is this like a catch can? I tried putting a plastic 3/8" fuel filter in the PCV line, but I think the underhood temps are a little too much for the plastic casing of the fuel filter. It seemed to catch the oil while it was there though.

I'm trying to think of more ideas to solve this problem. I think I'll try the new PCV valve also.

FYI, for awhile I spliced a piece of 5/16" into the 3/8" PCV line and it worked real well, but I'm not sure if gave the system adaquate "flow."

guys get those same things from walmart for cheap Its similar to Steedas piece too...

Walmart, in the tool section, by the air compressor stuff.
All you need is that and about 3' of 3/8 heater hose and put it inline w/ the pcv and your good to go. I'll post pics of my setup when I get a chance.

Cool how come no one told me about either of these. What does the supercoupe PCV do?
